Eden Hazard 10/10, Ross Barkley 9/10 as Chelsea rout Southampton

It was Eden Hazard's show once again as Chelsea thumped Southampton 2-0 at St Mary's Stadium on Sunday.

After struggling to overcome a hamstring injury last season following his move from Everton, Barkley has regained his fitness and form under Sarri.

8 - Sarri's big call today was starting Ross Barkley ahead of Mateo Kovacic and the decision was vindicated as the midfielder gave Chelsea an added cutting edge up front.

Barkley looks a new man under Sarri, and the England global celebrated his recall to the national team with a stellar performance on Sunday.

Chelsea had the better of the remaining 15 minutes of the first period, but it was Southampton who tested the goalkeeper with Gabbiadini stinging the hands of Kepa Arrizabalaga from distance. "I've been very happy for the last four years and a half, we've had great success, won many things".

"I don't know if I've played better [than I am at the minute], I'm just playing good football because we [Chelsea] are playing good football".

Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) released the following statement regarding the recently announced U.S., Mexico, Canada trade agreement. In the end, the dispute-resolution mechanisms from NAFTA remain largely intact in the new deal, that Trump christened the USMCA.

Barkley scored one and made one for Chelsea. The way he sees football is something that maybe in the future if I become a coach I think I'll do something very similar to what he does. "But you have to improve from the tactical point of view, but now he has improved [tactically]".

Saints winger Redmond threatened to set up a nervy finish when he rattled the woodwork, while Blues striker Morata would have added a third but for a smart stop from McCarthy.

Having endured much frustration in front of goal since joining Chelsea, the Spanish striker now has two in two games, with his strike against the Saints coming after Thursday's Europa League victor against MOL Vidi.

Alvaro Morata was on target for only the second time this season in Thursday's win, having earlier missed a number of chances. "I am really happy with him", Metro UK quoted Sarri as saying at post-match. At the moment for him it's very important to have a lot of training.

The Belgian marvel has taken his game to another level under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri this season, playing with less restriction and devastating precision as he sits atop the goalscoring chart - with seven in the league.
