LUMBERTON, North Carolina (CNN) - Florence's merciless deluge has already killed 18, trapped hundreds and made parts of North and SC impassable - and authorities say the worst flooding is yet to come. The father was pulled from the home and transported to a local hospital with injuries, police said.
The eight people, who died in the calamity, also include a mother and her child.
