Jolie's spokesperson, Mindy Nyby, tells ET, "The aim of Angelina's routine court filing is to provide closure to the marriage in a way that clears a path toward the next stage of their lives and allows her and Brad to recommit as devoted co-parents to their children". He was also accused and then acquitted of child abuse - the initial cause of their separation back in 2016.
The court filing did not specify what "meaningful" support is, but a spokesman for Pitt says that the 54-year-old actor has fulfilled all of his commitments.
Access has reached out to reps for both Brad Pitt for comment.
