Football fans all over the world were stunned last Thursday when the Browns named Oklahoma quarterback and 2017 Heisman Trophy victor Baker Mayfield as their number-one pick. What the Browns really want is for their draft picks to get comfortable with their new teammates and new surroundings, and that was the thinking behind the team making Baker Mayfield and Nick Chubb roommates at the team hotel this weekend.

Mayfield walked on at OU after transferring from Texas Tech. Even with all of the surrounding concerns, Mayfield has a lot of potential, and if he develops like he's supposed to, he could enjoy a lot of success in the NFL. On Friday, after Mayfield impressed at his first National Football League practice, Browns coach Hue Jackson reemphasized that Taylor will remain the Browns' starter - no matter what. "It started at the combine, just talking to him and listening to some of the things he said..."

"I am not going to back off of this and we can keep writing this narrative, Tyrod Taylor is the starting quarterback of this football team".

"I'm always competitive", Mayfield said on Saturday, per Cleveland.com.

"Tyrod Taylor's the starting quarterback of this football team, and that won't change", Jackson said Friday.

Antonio Conte sees 'hope' in Chelsea's once 'impossible' top-4 chase
Liverpool have 72 points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur with 71 and Chelsea on 69, both with a game in hand on the Merseysiders. They are still in control and a win against Brighton should be enough given their superior goal difference over Chelsea .

The only other quarterback in rookie minicamp is Joel Stave, a well-traveled practice squad player.

One of the best opportunities for a franchise to improve is through the NFL Draft, which occurs every April. He's the starter, and all I can do is help us out. "What he did in my last two years with the two Big 12 championships, the leadership, the toughness and everything else, I don't know that I've ever had anyone like him". It's not going to be something that separates the locker room. "You have to go to work you have to put the time in, you have to learn the playbook, and then when you get the opportunity you have to show you are there for a reason".

With that said, Dorsey recently made the point that you can never have enough good corners.

"I'm being very honest", Jackson was quoted as saying by CBS.

Instead, the former went to the New York Jets as the overall number three pick, while the latter was selected at number seven by the Buffalo Bills.
