It is created to be capable of 10 or more flights with very limited refurbishment as SpaceX continues to strive for rapid reusability and extremely high reliability, according to SpaceX's news release.

However, the newly minted Block-5 edition of the Falcon was successful in its second attempt, taking off at 9.14 pm (UK time) and carrying a communications satellite for Bangladesh into orbit.

In addition to making the rockets more reusable, the improvements should help the Falcon 9 qualify to carry humans into space. At the one-minute 14-second mark, the point of maximum stress was passed as the rocket broke through the sound barrier. Those changes may make engineers easier to refurbish its first stages for more flights.

Following stage separation, SpaceX successfully landed Falcon 9's first stage on the "Of Course I Still Love You" droneship in the Atlantic Ocean. This is the 25th successful Falcon 9 powered touchdown.

The Bangabandhu Satellite-1 mission served as the first flight of Falcon 9 Block 5, the final substantial upgrade to SpaceX's Falcon 9 launch vehicle. According to Musk and SpaceX, each Block 5 rocket will be able to fly at least 10 missions with minimal refurbishing, and with as little as 24 hours between launches.

The Marlin engine, which is located on the rocket's bottom, gives up to eight percent more force during take-off than previous versions.

SpaceX has signed a Dollars 2.6 billion contract with the NASA to complete development of Crew Dragon, a capsule to ferry astronauts to and from the International Space Station. That is, it must not only be as failure-proof as possible, it must also keep all vibrations and accelerations within a narrow envelope to protect the lives of the passengers and crew.

Within 233 minutes of the launch the stage-2 rockets put Bangladesh's first communication satellite into the orbit and returned to earth.

Manufactured by the Thales Alenia Space of France, Bangladesh will operate satellite from 119.1 degree East using a payload comprising 26 Ku-Band and 14 C-Band transponders to deliver focused telecommunications coverage to Bangladesh.
