In what was among the most shocking draft-day slides in recent National Football League history, former LSU running back Derrius Guice - considered by many to be a top-20 pick - fell to the Washington Redskins with pick No. 59 on Friday night.

There were also reports floating about that Guice had an altercation while meeting with the Philadelphia Eagles prior to the draft (more on that here).

Earlier this week, an interview Guice gave SiriusXM Radio in early March came back in the news.

On Saturday, Guice shot down the report and said there was no issue with Eagles running backs coach Duce Staley, per ESPN.com: "My trip to the Eagles was great".

At LSU, Guice led all Southeastern Conference running backs with 1,387 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns despite starting just six games.

Syria: Donors pledge about 4.4 billion dollars in humanitarian aid for 2018
The money is needed for humanitarian work inside Syria and to support refugees in neighbouring countries, the United Nations says. They amounted to less than half of the $9.7 billion pledged at a similar conference previous year for 2017-18.

Ford to Cease Production of Sedans as it Looks to Boost Profits
Despite the higher profit, Ford's adjusted pretax profit margin fell to 5.2 percent from 6.4 percent in the same quarter in 2017. The company is committed to increasing profit margins by focusing on more popular trucks and SUVs going forward.

Apple Releases Minor iOS 11.3.1 Update for iPhone and iPad
The American company Apple continues to release new commercials, which compares your iPhone with the Android competitors. The update also fixes a spoofing issue that could allow maliciously crafted text messages to process UI spoofing.

Guice may be the steal of the draft to this point, but as long as the rumored off-field concerns don't come to fruition, Washington will have a future All-Pro in its backfield.

The NFL conducted an investigation and found no evidence that any team asked Guice inappropriate questions.

Next, DJ Chark was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars (joining former teammate Leonard Fournette) two picks after Guice - pick no. 61. Those aren't pedestrian numbers for most backs, but for Guice, they fell short of his expectations.

Other notable players still available are linebacker Harold Landry of Boston College, linebacker Arden Key of LSU and running backs Ronald Jones of USC and Nick Chubb of Georgia. Sources describe him as immature, high-maintenance.
