Facebook said yesterday it would overhaul its privacy settings tools to put users "more in control" of their information.
To control who sees your personal information, experts say you should adjust your privacy settings. Facebook said that it also removed outdated settings that can make it confusing to know which of the user's information is being shared with third-party apps.
'Instead of having settings spread across almost 20 different screens, they're now accessible from a single place, ' wrote Erin Egan, VP and chief privacy officer, and Ashlie Beringer, VP and deputy general counsel.
The apps' Privacy Shortcuts page has also been simplified with "clearer explanations of how our controls work".
The new "Access Your Information" setting would also let users delete "posts, reactions and comments, and things you've searched for".

The changes won't affect Facebook's privacy policies or the types of data it gathers on users.
