The smartphone will be made by Optiemus Infracom, which has licensing rights to manufacture, design and sell BlackBerry handsets in India. The company is yet to officially confirm BlackBerry "Ghost".

As reported by CNET, BlackBerry Mobile's chief commercial officer, Francois Mahieu, said at MWC this week that he would like to see the company claim three to five per cent of the market for premiums smartphones in 2018. I did used to love the BlackBerry keypad back in the days of the Curve 8520, as confidently typing without looking was much easier than on touchscreen phones.

BlackBerry executives made the rather startling declaration in an interview with The Verge when Francois Mahieu and Alain Lejeune from BlackBerry and TCL respectively said that previous year was a success for them. As of now, the exact launch timeline of the upcoming BlackBerry Ghost has not been specified, however we can expect the premium smartphone launch in the next few months.
