"They understand that people outside Ofer military court are interested in Ahed's case; they understand that her rights are being infringed and her trial is something that shouldn't be happening."

In a statement, Waze said "we can not comment on the details of this specific trip, but we emphasize that Waze allows drivers to specify roads and areas that they are not interested in traveling in, including areas that Israelis are not allowed into". Images of her standing hands on hips and staring down an Israeli soldier were plastered on London bus stops calling for her release.

The charges relate to events in the video and five other incidents.

In her mother's video, Ahed can be heard saying that in the wake of U.S. president Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, Israeli troops "need to bear responsibility for every Palestinian response that will come from us, whether it's a stabbing operation, a martyrdom operation or throwing rocks".

She was reportedly upset after learning that her 15-year-old cousin had been seriously injured after being shot in the head by a rubber bullet during stone-throwing clashes nearby.

A video, which has since gone viral, shows the unarmed teenage girl slapping, kicking, and shoving two armed Israeli soldiers who were wearing protective gear. She was arrested at her home December 19 in the middle of the night and has been in detention ever since.

Seventeen-year-old Tamimi faces 12 charges, including assault and incitement, at the Ofer Military Court.

Tamimi and her mother have been ordered to be held in custody until the end of the proceedings, while her cousin has been released on bail. Instead, she herself was arrested.

Israeli security officials say PA police officers arrived and managed to prevent the lynch mob from causing more serious harm to the two IDF soldiers.

Isaiah Thomas will come off the bench for the Lakers on Saturday
Walton's intention is to integrate Thomas slowly into the offense and the point guard agrees with the strategy, sources told ESPN. After setting the league ablaze last season, averaging 28.9 points per game, he would only suit up for the Cavaliers 15 times.

"This violates the fundamental legal guarantee to have access to counsel during interrogation", Jose Guevara, chair of the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, said on Tuesday. The experts also expressed concern about the place where Tamimi is detained, the Hasharon prison in Israel, which violates the Fourth Geneva Convention.

Bassem Tamimi, her father, says his daughters arrest came just when the Palestinians needed a new source of inspiration. "I am scared, worried, sad, everything".

But also a factor in her global fame, her father says, is Aheds blond hair and blue eyes.

"President Putin noted that he would meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas later today, and President Trump said that now is the time to work toward an enduring peace agreement", the White House said in a statement on Monday describing a phone call between the two leaders.

In 2012, Amnesty International labeled Bassem Tamimi a prisoner of conscience during one of his numerous stints in an Israeli prison.

The Convention on the Rights of the Child, which Israel has ratified, states that minors can only be deprived of liberty as a last resort and for the shortest appropriate time, said Michael Lynk, a United Nations special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories, in a statement.

Marah Tamimi, 17, counts Ahed among one of her closest friends.

He said relations between Israel and the United States now are "as good as they ever have been".
