'Low-Level' Apple Employee Leaks iOS 9 Security Code, "Biggest" Leak In History

  • iOS 12 for iPads Looks Like a Big Bummer

The report adds how iOS 12 aka "Peace" is now under development, and is set to come with a few new features.

According to recent reports from Axios and Bloomberg, Apple is reinventing its iPhone software technology after 10 years by focusing on the performance of the new iOS.

If you're an iPad power user, I hope you got all of the multi-tasking features you were hoping for in iOS 11. Apple launches an upgrade to its mobile operating system iOS at its annual developers event WWDC held in June every year. Other features are being pushed back to give the company more time to develop them. Instead of meeting a tight deadline and ticking all the boxes on the checklist, development teams will be able to push back some features if they're not polished enough.

Some iPad-specific features are said to have been delayed until 2019.

The change could lead to more polished software update and less bugs. iOS 11 hasn't been ideal so far, for starters, with customers having to contend with autocorrect bugs, messages arriving out of order, and the calculator app misbehaving.

Apple will reportedly port animoji over to the iPad, and improve the So Not Diatub functionality of the iPhone. Some major new capabilities are still planned though, including an all-new app model which will allow iOS apps to run on the Mac desktop. Apple is also working to integrate Siri into the iPhone search view, redesigning the interface to import photos onto an iPad, and making it possible for several people at once to play augmented reality games.

NASA Probe Captures Farthest Image from Earth
New Horizons is the fastest spacecraft ever launched, traveling at a speed of 700,000 miles (1.1 million kilometers) per day. Back in 2017, NASA published an image taken by the New Horizons Long Range Reconnaissance Imager, also called LORRI.

Although the company remains committed to an annual software update, this autumn's update will lack a number of features, according to Bloomberg.

As mentioned earlier the Apple iPad will feature the iPhone X Face ID, the Apple iPhone X features 5.8 inches Capacitive Touchscreen display with a screen resolution of 1125 x 2436 pixels.

Apple has a very convincing rational behind delaying various features and adopting a new iOS release cycle.

The New York Post reports individuals within a jailbreak community encouraged a "low-level" Apple employee to leak iBoot's source code in 2016, resulting in the biggest leak in Apple's history. The changelog includes fundamental revisions of the operating system's core, user-facing redesigns of the interface and updates to iOS' built-in stock apps.

This new approach to developing products sounds good on paper but only time will tell if Apple can pull it off long term.
