  • Police search for missing journalist in Houston area

The Texas sports reporter who went missing over the weekend had been found alive near a Houston-area mall.

UPDATE: Houston Police tweeted out that Roland was found, seemingly unharmed, around 9:35 am.

Roland will be taken to an area hospital for evaluation, police said.

They discovered her cellphone and different assets inside, cops stated, while her satchel was found at a close-by business. "Roland got out of her auto and the truck sped off".

The roommate was supposed to meet up with Roland but she never showed up, the station reported.

On Sunday, Roland's mother received a text from her phone saying, "hello the owner of this phone Courtney. I am buying an iPad", it read.

Investigators concerns intensified after Roland's white Jeep was found by officers that night in a parking in the 5000 block of Westheimer Road.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Houston police at 832-394-1840.

"She seems pretty confused about everything", said Houston Police. Then a passer-by saw Roland walking beneath an overpass and recognized her from media reports.

"If somebody has hers, we just want to tell them we love you too".

Roland's roommate, who was not identified, told KPRC that a man in a blue truck followed Roland to her home.

KPRC reports that the roommate did not hear from Roland again. "Each week I contact special guests to have on and talk with me about current sports news and all things Texas A&M football and recruiting", Courtney wrote on her website.
